Anticipated Products
In addition to the publication of scientific
results we expect to provide:
A subsurface data base configured for easy time series extraction programs
Multi-platform programs to perform the extraction and summarization
Programs to combine results from surface and subsurface extracts
Programs to perform various state-space time series analyses on data
We also expect to provide to the general research community:
Continued and updated availability of COADS data
Access to time series and spatial fields developed for this project,
after initial analysis
Advice for process studies on areas representative of geographic regions
A summary of variables and mechanisms forcing population
alterations on decadal scales
Indices of environmental variability, for further comparison to
ecological variability
PFEL also generates and delivers a wide range of
atmospheric and oceanic data products to the marine research community.
This is part of our laboratory base-funded mission, and is a value-added
product set to US GLOBEC NEP.
