SAN FRANCISCO / MONTEREY BAY AREA NWS ENSO PAGE An excellent collection of web sites and links to current conditions, ENSO forecasts and potential impacts, and background information on ENSO. Also links to ENSO fundamentals if you're looking for the basics. Great starting place.

NOAA CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER ENSO advisory and updates, impacts, forecasts and analysis.

TROPICAL EL NIÑO SIGNALS FROM TOGA-TAO Instrument array that tracks El Niño's signal at the equator. Also links to NOAA PMEL ENSO site, other ENSO links.

SEA SURFACE HEIGHT FROM TOPEX/Poseidon Data products from the TOPEX/Poseidon satellite ocean altimeter, a key instrument for tracking the progress of ENSO.

SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE Global SST- climatologies, current conditions, and anomalies- from US Navy's FNMOC Optimum Thermal Interpolation System (OTIS). Updated daily.

NOAA COASTWATCH, WEST COAST NODE Summarize sea surface temperature anomalies, assess recent oceanographic conditions, and potential impacts on living marine resources.

NEAR REAL-TIME ECOSYSTEM CHANGES Electronic listing of reported marine and terrestrial ecosystem events that may be linked to the 1997 ENSO events in history. Updated frequently, but includes unsubstantiated reports that may not be related to ENSO.
